Designer Terms
Effective date: 19 September 2026 Last updated: 8 October 2026
This building designer is published by the company whose name and contact details appear on this page (the "Company"). It runs on Eave Desk, software operated by Columbia Data Group ("Eave Desk"). By using the designer, saving or sharing a design, requesting a quote, or opening a portal or document link, you agree to these Designer Terms.
1. Who you are dealing with
The Company is offering you the building. The Company chose what you can design, what you can pick, and what prices, if any, you see. Any quote, contract, sale, delivery, or construction is between you and the Company. Eave Desk makes the software and is not a party to any of that.
2. Your details go to the Company
If this page asks for your name, email, phone, or address, the Company is collecting them to follow up with you about your building. They are stored in the Company's account on Eave Desk. Eave Desk does not sell them, does not use them for its own marketing, and does not share them with any other building company. To see, correct, or delete them, contact the Company. The Eave Desk Privacy Policy explains the rest.
3. Saved designs and links
- When you save a design you get a private link, and you can set a recovery key to get back to it from another browser. Keep them private; anyone with the link can open the design.
- You can create a read-only share link to show someone else your design. They can look and make their own copy; they cannot change yours.
- A portal or document link the Company sends you works for as long as the Company keeps it active. Do not forward links containing other people's details.
- Your design is stored in the Company's account. If the Company's account with Eave Desk ends, your links will stop working; save a copy of anything you want to keep.
4. What you may do with your design
The Company owns the design saved in its account and keeps a copy to work with you. Contact the Company about using or sharing the design. Eave Desk keeps the software, the product catalog, and the rules that turned your clicks into a building; those are not yours and you may not copy or extract them. Do not use bots or automated tools on the designer.
5. Prices, quantities, and drawings are estimates, not engineering
- Any price or budget figure you see comes from the Company's own price list and settings. It is an estimate for planning, not an offer, a quote, or a contract, unless the Company tells you in writing that it is.
- Drawings, dimensions, and material lists describe the building as you designed it. They are concept documents. They are not engineered, not sealed by an engineer or architect, not approved by any building department, and not a determination that the building is safe or permitted where you live.
- If a document says NOT ENGINEERED, preliminary, sample, or estimate, that is exactly what it means.
- Colors, textures, and the 3D view are shown as closely as a screen allows, but screens differ. Ask the Company for physical color samples before you choose. If the Company's written contract or sealed plans differ from what the designer showed, the contract and plans control.
- Your site, your soil, your local snow and wind loads, and your local code will change what is actually built. The Company, and the licensed professionals it or you retain, decide that. Eave Desk does not.
6. Age
This designer is for people shopping for a building. It is not for children under 13. If you are under 18, do not enter contact details; ask an adult to.
7. Behavior
Do not use the designer to break the law, to harass anyone, to probe for weaknesses, to guess other people's links, or to enter anyone's details but your own.
8. No warranties; limits on liability
The designer is provided "as is." Eave Desk does not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and does not promise that any price, quantity, or drawing is correct or buildable; those come from the Company's data and choices. To the extent the law allows, Eave Desk is not liable to you for indirect or consequential losses, and its total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms is limited to $100. Nothing here limits the Company's own responsibility to you, or any liability the law does not allow to be limited.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Your dealings with the Company are governed by whatever you and the Company agree.
10. Changes and contact
Eave Desk may update these terms; the current version is always linked from this page. Questions about your building, your quote, or your details: the Company, at the contact details on this page. Questions about the software or this page: legal@eavedesk.com. Privacy: privacy@eavedesk.com.
